ROAD REPORT.
Byline: The Register-GuardHere's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays.
Springfield
42nd Street Path: Asphalt paved Monday at the entrance to Weyerhaeuser. Up to 15-minute delays on 42nd Street.
32nd Street, south of Main Street: Daytime closures Monday through Wednesday so utility companies can place new lines. Use South 42nd Street and Jasper Road.
Cottage Grove Area
Adams Road: Crews will make surface repairs this week to prepare for asphalt overlay. Expect delays of 10-15 minutes.
Gowdyville Road: Surface repairs under way in preparation for asphalt overlay. Delays up to 15 minutes.
London Road: Asphalt overlay begins Monday from Raisor Road to the end of London Road near Milepost 14. Delays of up to 20 minutes.
Dexter area
Highway 58: Driveway paving continues from Dexter Park to Kitson Ridge Road, Mileposts 11 to 39. Expect minor delays.
East Lane County area
Highway 58: Construction work from Kitson Ridge to the West Salt Creek Tunnel (Mileposts 56 to 39) includes addition of passing lanes, highway widening, new fish culverts, signs and guardrails. Expect 20-minute delays.
Elmira Area
Territorial Highway: Construction of left-turn lane at Warthen Road as well as curbs, sidewalks and a pedestrian island at a school crossing. Expect daytime delays up to 20 minutes. Watch for flaggers.
Finn Rock Area
McKenzie Highway 126: Guardrail and bridge work continues from Milepost 38 to Milepost 55. Expect minor delays; watch for signs, flaggers and workers along the road.
Junction City Area
Highway 99 West: Permanent signs and traffic-control devices will be installed from Flat Creek Bridge to West Third Avenue; expect minimal traffic delays.
Mapleton-Greenleaf Area
Nelson Mountain Road: Reroofing of Lake Creek Covered Bridge continues this week. The bridge will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each work day.
Marcola Area
Marcola Road: Base paving and installation of sidewalks and drainage structures scheduled this week between Parsons Creek and Wendling roads. Expect delays up to 20 minutes 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Through traffic to Sweet Home should seek alternate routes.
Santa Clara Area
Irvington Drive: Storm sewer installation and modifications to the sanitary sewer system continues this week from Arrowhead to Willowbrook streets. The roadway will be closed to through traffic during working hours, with signed detours in place. Roadway excavation also will be under way from Arrowhead Street to the Northwest Expressway. Expect 20-minute delays.
River Road: Crews will be grading and installing curbs, gutters and street lighting between Carthage Avenue and Beacon Drive. Expect 15-minute delays.
Seavey Loop Area
Seavey Way: Construction of new Frank Parrish Bridge continues over the Coast Fork of the Willamette River at the entrance to the Howard Buford Recreation Area. Expect minimal delays.
South Lane County Area
Interstate 5: Work continues on removing concrete debris and laying rip-rap at the Coast Fork Willamette River Bridge about Milepost 180, with traffic detoured onto a temporary bridge. Watch for trucks and other construction vehicles in the work zone.
Springfield Area
McKenzie Highway 126: Resurfac-ing of the westbound bridge across the Willamette River between Springfield and Glenwood will continue through Friday, with traffic detoured to a single lane on the eastbound bridge. Expect delays; alternate routes recommended. All businesses remain open; use McVay Highway (Old Franklin Boulevard) for easier access to businesses at the west end of the bridge.
