 JEFFREY C. GAGE BECOMES PRESIDENT OF GAGE INDUSTRIES
 LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective July 1, Ripley W. Gage, formerly president and chief executive officer of Gage Industries Inc., became chairman of the board, the company announced today. Gage will remain active in the company's business.
 Jeff Gage became president of Gage Industries, also effective July 1.
 As of June 30, Betty Gage retired, leaving the position of secretary/treasurer she has held at Gage Industries for the past 34 years.
 Lizbeth Gage Yates will become executive vice president. Yates assumes chief financial officer responsibilities as well as her current responsibilities for human resources and materials management.
 Rip and his wife, Betty, established Gage Industries on March 15, 1958, on Foothills Road in Lake Oswego. Gage Industries has grown steadily since that time and, today, occupies 120,000 square feet, housing three production departments and all support staff.
 Rip Gage has long been active in the Society of Plastics Industry (SPI) and was elected chairman of that national trade association on June 1, 1992. He is also the current chairman of Associated Oregon Industries. Rip was named SPI Western Plastics Man-of-the-Year in 1982. Rip was presented with the 1990 "Thermoformer of the Year" award by the national Society of Plastics Engineers.
 Jeff Gage joined Gage Industries in 1973. He became executive vice president of Gage Industries in 1977, accepting responsibilities for manufacturing and engineering. As president of Gage Industries, Jeff will continue to have manufacturing and engineering responsibility with the addition of sales and marketing responsibilities. Jeff Gage served as president of the SPI Pacific Northwest Chapter in 1989-1991. He currently serves as a board member of the Western Section of SPI. Jeff Gage also serves as a board member of the John Inskeep Environmental Learning Center.
 Liz Yates joined Gage Industries in 1984. Prior to joining Gage Industries, Yates worked for Ortho Pharmaceutical and Burroughs Corp. She is on the board of directors for the Portland Rose Festival Association and the newly formed Plastics Education Consortium.
 Gage Industries Inc. is the largest manufacturer of plastics in Oregon.
