LOOKS like Alexander Graham Bell is still ringing the changes 134 years after he created the telephone.

Today is the inventor's birthday and an actor dressed up as him to launch an iPhone app that shows guests around Edinburgh.

Digi-Guide Edinburgh combines a wealth of local knowledge with audio commentary, striking photography and GPS map-tracking to tell the user what's at hand. It includes a guide to rainy day activities and the pick of the best places to eat and drink.

Paul Nixon, MD of Roam Edinburgh, the company behind Digi-Guide Edinburgh, was at Calton Hill to help Alexander Graham Bell demonstrate the tourist guide App designed for i-phones.
