RINGER ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

 MINNEAPOLIS, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael R. Goblet has been named vice president of sales for the Ringer Corporation (NASDAQ: RING), coming to the company from The Scotts Company (NASDAQ: SCTT), the dominant U.S. supplier of lawn fertilizers and soil amendments.
 Goblet has close to 25 years experience in sales assignments with manufacturers of lawn and garden care products. His responsibilities with Scotts included local, regional and key account sales assignments since joining them in 1972. Prior to that, he had been a sales representative for the Ortho Division of Chevron Chemical Company.
 Stanley Goldberg, president of Ringer, said, "One of the strengths of our company is the distribution network developed in recent years. The addition of Michael Goblet to the management team is an essential step in a strategy to work more closely with our customers to increase sales velocity through their outlets. Michael has an outstanding record of success in our industry, carrying responsibility for sales volume more than double Ringer's current level and he understands the need to closely link the sales, marketing and product development functions."
 Goblet graduated from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minn., in 1968. He, his wife, and three children will relocate to Minnesota from their home in New Jersey.
