 RIGAZIO NAMED CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OF NEVADA POWER
 LAS VEGAS, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Nevada Power President James C.


Holcombe announced today that Steven W. Rigazio has been named vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer.
 Rigazio had been vice president of planning prior to this. He joined Nevada Power (NYSE: NVP) in 1984 and has served as a rates administrator, supervisor of rates and regulations, manager of rates and regulatory affairs, director of system planning, and vice president of planning.
 Prior to joining Nevada Power, Rigazio was employed by the Public Service Commission of Nevada (PSC) as a financial analyst and policy advisor. He has also worked for three years in the securities investment business.
 He holds a master of business administration from the University of Nevada at Reno and a bachelor's degree from Eureka College in economics and business.
 "Steve's extensive background in finance and planning and his diverse experience at Nevada Power make him ideally suited for heading up our financial area," commented Holcombe. "We know we are facing significant financial challenges, and this appointment puts us well in position to meet those needs."
