RICHARD T. JANNARONE NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, TEXTRON INTERNATIONAL

 WASHINGTON D.C., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard T. Jannarone, 44, has been appointed vice president, Textron International, (NYSE: TXT) James F. Hardymon, Textron chairman, president and chief executive officer, announced today.
 In his new position, Jannarone will direct international marketing operations for Textron from the company's Washington office. He will coordinate customer liaison and other international sales-related activities with Textron executives at the company's headquarters in Providence, R.I., and at 34 Textron divisions throughout the United States. Jannarone will report to Mary L. Howell, senior vice president, government and international relations in the Textron Washington Office.
 Jannarone joins Textron after a 14-year career in program management, strategic planning and marketing management with United Technologies Corporation. He was named to the position of vice president operations with United Technologies International Corporation in September 1991, where his duties included managing the corporation's international business development activities and globally-based field offices. Prior to taking that post, he was director of International Offset Development. Jannarone began his career with United Technologies at its Pratt & Whitney engine unit. He previously worked in the chemical industry and was an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
 Jannarone earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University. He holds both a master's degree in chemical engineering and a master's in business administration from the University of Michigan.
 Export sales by the company's aerospace, commercial and automotive products, and insurance and financial services division make Textron one of America's largest exporters.
