 RICHARD H. CAMPBELL NAMED TEXTRON GROUP VICE PRESIDENT
 PROVIDENCE, R.I., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard H. Campbell has been named a group vice president at Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), James F. Hardymon, president and chief executive officer, announced today. Campbell will report to John S. Kleban, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the company.
 Campbell, 56, formerly served as a group vice president of Black & Decker Corporation and as president of its hardware and home improvement group. Prior to that he was executive vice president of Emhart Corporation and president of that company's consumer sector.
 A graduate of Colby College, Waterville, Maine, he served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps prior to joining Ingersoll-Rand Corporation's marketing department in 1962. He joined Black & Decker in 1970 as director of consumer products marketing. He was vice president marketing and later president and general manager of Black & Decker Canada, Inc. before becoming vice president new business/ventures and vice president and general manager of Black & Decker's accessory group. He spent five years with Emhart Corporation before rejoining Black & Decker as a group vice president after Emhart was acquired by the company in 1989. In his new position, Campbell will have responsibility for several Textron divisions.
 Textron is a multi-industry company with operations focused in three business sectors -- aerospace technology, commercial products and financial services.
