 RICHARD A. REINGOLD NAMED NEWS DIRECTOR FOR WRC-TV
 WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard A. Reingold has just


been named news director for WRC-TV, NEWS4 in Washington.
 The announcement was made by Allan Horlick, president and general manager of WRC-TV. "We're very excited that Dick is coming on board. He is joining an already terrific news team here at Channel 4," said Horlick. "He is a very competitive guy and he has a great sense of how a news operation should be run," added Horlick.
 Reingold was equally enthusiastic: "I'm delighted to be joining NEWS4 and eager to get started working with the outstanding professionals at WRC-TV."
 Reingold comes to WRC-TV from WKYC in Cleveland where he has served as news director since July of 1991. Prior to that he was with the NBC owned WMAQ-TV in Chicago where he had served as news director since 1984.
 Before that he was with WJZ-TV in Baltimore where he had been news director since 1981. From 1976 to 1981 Reingold held various news management positions with WCBS-TV in New York, including the position of assistant news director from 1978 to 1981. While serving as executive producer of the station's 6 p.m. newscast at WCBS-TV, he won a local Emmy for Best Newscast in the New York area.
 From 1972 to 1976 he served in various news capacities with WABC-TV in New York.
 He began his news career at KTSB-TV in Topeka, Kan. In 1972 he worked as a freelance reporter for WOR-TV and WNEW-TV in New York in 1972, and later spent a year with WTEN-TV before going to WABC in 1972.
 Reingold holds a masters degree in journalism from Columbia University Graduate School in New York, a bachelors degree in American studies from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., and most recently received a masters of business management form Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
