RICHARD A. COLLISTER JOINS COMERICA

 DETROIT, Nov. 16 ~PRNewswire~ -- Richard A. Collister, 48, has joined Comerica Incorporated (NYSE: CMA) as executive vice president and chief human resource officer, replacing Larry A. Emmons, who will retire effective Dec. 1, 1992. As the officer-in-charge of human resources, Collister will be responsible for directing and implementing the corporation's human resource policies and practices. These include employee relations, staffing, training and development, management succession, and compensation and benefits.
 Collister has over 25 years' experience in human resources. Prior to joining Comerica, Collister served as first vice president and director of human resources for the Institutional Business Groups of Merrill Lynch in New York. In addition, he had corporate-wide responsibility for executive assessment, succession planning and management development.
 Before joining Merrill Lynch, he was director of executive and management resources for The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., in New York. He also held positions with First National Bank of Chicago, Illinois Board of Higher Education and University of Illinois at Chicago Circle.
 Collister holds a bachelor of arts degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and a master's degree in political science from the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J.
