RICH WULFF NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES, MARKETING FOR RECONDITIONED SYSTEMS INC.

TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Rich M. Wulff has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Reconditioned Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: RESYU) (RSI), according to Charles R. Johnson, president of the Tempe-based reconditioner and marketer of modular office work stations and other office systems furniture.
In his new position, Wulff will be responsible for the design and implementation of RSI's nationwide sales and marketing strategies, and the supervision of the company's sales staff. In addition, he will also oversee advertising, promotion and public relations efforts aimed at small- to medium-size businesses that are in the market to purchase reconditioned office furniture.
Prior to joining RSI, Wulff was vice president of sales and marketing for Inventory Networking Inc., a reconditioner of systems furniture specializing in Herman Miller products. He also served in a similar capacity for Superior Furniture Systems Inc. of Edmonton, Alberta.
Johnson said RSI "is extremely pleased to welcome Rich to our management team. His professional experience and knowledge of the reconditioned furniture business will be a real asset to the company as we explore ways to grow the business.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Wulff and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Scottsdale, Ariz., with their son and daughter, Brad, 7 and Lisa, 5.
Founded in 1987, RSI offers a wide range of businesses a low-cost alternative to buying new office furniture by reconditioning old modular office work stations, panels, work surfaces, files and other systems furniture and selling them at discounts, generally in quantities of 30 to 40 at a time.
The company had sales in excess of $5.5 million in fiscal 1991-92 and last week reported nine-month sales for the period ended Dec. 31, 1992, of $3,874,000, resulting in net income of $240,000, or $.16 per share, up from $.14 per share for the six-month period.
