RHI ENTERTAINMENT INC. TO DISTRIBUTE TELE-FEATURES PRODUCED BY THE LARRY THOMPSON ORGANIZATION UNDER TERMS OF NEW AGREEMENT

NEW YORK, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- RHI Entertainment Inc., a major producer and distributor of television productions for the global market, has become the exclusive worldwide distributor of new tele- features by the Larry Thompson Organization, prominent Hollywood producer of long-form television programs and theatrical features.
The agreement was announced by Robert Halmi Jr., president and chief executive officer of RHI Entertainment Inc. and Larry Thompson, president of the Larry Thompson Organization. It covers 10 tele- features over a five-year period.
Halmi said, "This agreement is a good fit for both our companies. The Larry Thompson Organization is a fine independent producer of television films and will be an important component in RHI's fast- growing international and domestic distribution strategy."
According to Thompson, "RHI not only understands the distribution and globalization of television, but also, as a production company, it helps create the marketplace. RHI has vision, enthusiasm, and, from an international point of view, cutting-edge instincts."
The first production under the new agreement is the drama "Broken Promises," a tele-feature executive-produced by the Larry Thompson Organization, produced and directed by Donald Wrye and starring Cheryl Ladd. "Broken Promises" begins filming in Los Angeles in July for future presentation on CBS.

In addition to film and theatrical productions, the Larry Thompson Organization is prominent in the area of Personal Management.
Among RHI's most recent television projects are the Hallmark hall of Fame presentation of "Blind Spot," headlining Joanne Woodward, Laura Linney and Fritz Weaver, directed by Michael Toshiyuki Uno; the Kraft General Foods Premier Movie, "Call of the Wild," starring Rick Schroder, and the four-hour miniseries, "The Fire Next Time," with Craig T. Nelson, Bonnie Bedelia, Richard Farnsworth and Jurgen Prochnow, directed by Tom McLoughlin (all presented on CBS).
The large roster of upcoming RHI projects includes: "Scarlett," the major eight-hour sequel to "Gone With The Wind," which will be presented on CBS; "Return to Lonesome Dove," the sequel to RHI's award-winning "Lonesome Dove," "For Love Alone," based on the novel by Ivana Trump, plus the third in the acclaimed series of "Incident" tele-features, again starring Walter Matthau and Harry Morgan.
