REVIEW NEWSPAPERS ANNOUNCE NEW NAMES, NEW LOOK

MIAMI, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, June 4, South Florida's three Review newspapers will take on new names. They will become the Miami Daily Business Review, the Broward Daily Business Review and the Palm Beach Daily Business Review.
The new names will be accompanied by a flurry of editorial changes at the papers. The Daily Business Reviews have opened an office in Boca Raton, in addition to offices in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. They are adding several weekly business columns, including a weekly personal finance column focusing on mutual funds, summaries of stock analysts' reports, interviews with top brokers and discussions on estate planning.
There will be a weekly Current Issues column, in which industry leaders discuss news affecting their businesses, and a host of other offerings: a regular entrepreneurs column, a weekly look at professional regulation from Tallahassee, regular wrap-ups of business relocations and disciplinary actions taken against area professionals, and coverage of residential real estate sales.
The popular business leads section will be reformatted for greater clarity. Color has been added to the front page.
The Daily Business Reviews also will unveil daily columns called Ahead of the News, the inside line on companies and people making business news in South Florida.
"The new name was chosen to express clearly what we really are: daily papers dedicated to covering business, real estate and law," said Edward Wasserman, chairman and editor in chief of the Daily Business Reviews.
A television and radio advertising campaign will coincide with the name change, Wasserman said. TV advertising spots, prepared by Turkel & Associates, will run through the summer on selected cable channels.
The Daily Business Reviews have been a fixture on the Florida newspaper landscape since 1926, when the Miami Review and Daily Record began publishing. The papers are part of American Lawyer Media, L.P., a partnership whose principals are Steven Brill, founder and editor of American Lawyer magazine, and Time Warner Inc.
