REVELS CHRYSLER-PLYMOUTH DODGE TRUCKS ELIMINATES ENTIRE SALES STAFF

 GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Revels Chrysler- Plymouth Dodge Trucks, is pioneering a new concept in selling cars. All salespeople have been eliminated. Commissions previously paid to salespeople are passed on to the customers. Now five salaried product consultants serve Revels customers. All cars are clearly marked with one bottom-line non-negotiable price for everyone.
 This decision was based on a research study commissioned by Revels Chrysler-Plymouth Dodge Trucks to learn what consumers would change about the car buying experience. According to Clayton Revels, owner, the majority of consumers wanted to get rid of pushy salespeople and eliminate price haggling. "We're giving the customers what they actually asked for and it's working. Our sales are increasing daily," said Revels.
 Because automobiles play such a critical role in today's society, the car buying public has developed an unparalleled buying expertise. Today's shoppers have access to a wealth of product information including critical reviews and test results on virtually every car made. They know the specifications, options, features and benefits they want before they shop and feel they don't need a middleman.
 Before going public, Revels Chrysler-Plymouth Dodge Trucks test results were so encouraging that, "it was an easy decision to proceed," said Revels. "One of our surprises was the positive word-of-mouth advertising radiation."
 Do people mind not having a salesman? "No way...they love the one price, no hassle shopping," said Revels.
