REVCO SEEKS TO RAISE OVER A QUARTER MILLION DOLLARS FOR RONALD McDONALD HOUSES

 TWINSBURG, Ohio, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ --Revco D.S., Inc. (NYSE: RXR) and Ronald McDonald Houses in nine states are partners again for a special holiday season fundraising effort to benefit the families of seriously ill children.
 During a four-week promotion that begins Sunday, Nov. 28, Revco customers can select from a series of four 15-inch or three 20-inch-high wooden nutcrackers for $5.99 and $9.99 respectively. New this year is a series of "Sports Nuts" and musical nutcrackers, also for $5.99 and $9.99 each, respectively. For every nutcracker sold, $2.50 will be donated to the local Ronald McDonald House.
 The promotion is expected to raise over a quarter million dollars for 33 Ronald McDonald Houses nationally.
 "Revco is proud to be entering our fourth year of support for the Ronald McDonald Houses," said D. Dwayne Hoven, Revco president. "All of us at Revco take special satisfaction in being part of such a worthy cause at this season of giving."
 Ronald McDonald Houses provide a temporary home-away-from-home where families can stay while their children receive treatment for chronic illnesses such as cancer, leukemia, heart disease, cystic fibrosis and other serious medical problems.
 Revco currently operates about 1,200 drug stores in nine contiguous states, and fills more than 50 million prescriptions annually. Based in Twinsburg, Ohio, the company has annual sales in excess of $2.2 billion and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol RXR.
