REVCO NAMES AKRON NATIVE VICE PRESIDENT, DISTRIBUTION

 TWINSBURG, Ohio, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- D. Dwayne Hoven, president and chief executive officer of Revco D.S., Inc. (NYSE: RXR), announced the appointment of David P. Lynn as vice president, distribution, effective today. Lynn's responsibilities will include Transportation, Traffic and Warehousing, and he will report to Carl Bellini, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
 A native of Akron, Lynn has more than two decades of retail distribution management experience. He began his retail career in 1976 as a distribution center manager for the Jack Eckerd Corporation. He later served in progressively responsible distribution management positions with T.G.&Y. Stores, Caldor, Inc., Consolidated Stores and McCrory Stores, where he served as senior vice president, distribution services. Most recently, he served as a distribution and logistics consultant with Garr Associates in Atlanta.
 Hoven said: "Significant changes in how retailers manage flow of goods are in process and inevitable. Dave Lynn brings a great deal of distribution experience and a keen understanding and insight regarding how we should build systems for the future. We are fortunate to have Dave join the Revco team."
 Lynn studied surface transportation and logistics at the University of Akron. He is married and has three children.
 Revco currently operates more than 1,200 drug stores in nine contiguous eastern states, and fills more than 50 million prescriptions annually. Based in Twinsburg, Ohio, the company has annual sales in excess of $2.3 billion.
