REUTERS SIGNS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH STANDARD & POOR'S

 NEW YORK, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Reuters announced today that it has signed a long-term agreement for the worldwide, non-exclusive right to distribute several key company information databases of the Standard & Poor's (S&P) Equity Services Group.
 The agreement will give Reuter customers access to S&P Compustat fundamental company data, to the S&P Quote Information Support Service (QISS), and to the S&P Analysts Consensus Estimates (ACE) service.
 The agreement also covers the Kenny S&P Dividend Service, the Earnings Estimates database of Research Holdings, Ltd., and the Institutional Holdings database of Vickers Stock Research Corporation which S&P has sub-licensed to Reuters.
 Reuters plans to enhance its product lines as a result of this agreement and details of these enhancements will be announced in due course.
