 REUTERS MARKS ITS FIFTH YEAR IN PITTSBURGH WITH A CITY TRIBUTE
 PITTSBURGH, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Reuters, the international news and information group, last evening marked the fifth anniversary of its Pittsburgh news bureau.
 At a reception attended by Allegheny County and city officials, and 100 prominent Pittsburgh corporate, financial, media and academic leaders, Reuters noted its growing business presence here while offering a "tribute to an increasingly international city."

 Mame Bradley, manager of the World Trade Center of Pittsburgh, and Gordon McLaren, vice president & director of U.S. Marketing for the consumer products division of SmithKline Beecham, officially greeted Reuters on behalf of the region's public and private sectors respectively.
 Senior Reuter executives from New York, Washington and Pittsburgh hosted the reception. They included vice president-Southeast District, Kenneth Byrne; editor-America Andrew Nibley; senior vice president- Media, Arthur Bushnell; senior vice president-External Relations, Michael Reilly; and O'Shea.
 Senior officials of Mellon Bank, PNC Financial Corp, Pittsburgh National Bank, Alcoa, Dravo Corp., H.J. Heinz, Miles Inc., PPG Industries, USX Corp., and Westinghouse Electric Corp. attended.
 The offices of the Mayor, the County Commissioner and of the regional representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce extended welcomes.
 The Pittsburgh Press, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and Pittsburgh Business Times were represented.
