REUTERS LAUNCHES NEW TREASURY SERVICE

 REUTERS LAUNCHES NEW TREASURY SERVICE
LONDON, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Reuters today launched Treasury

2000, a real-time information service for the world's money and capital markets.
In Treasury 2000, Reuters combines information of instruments in the foreign exchange and money markets with comprehensive data on equity- linked securities and treasury, sovereign, mortgage-backed and corporate debt.
It provides information on financial instruments across the yield curve and across all traded currencies.
Users can choose to combine Treasury 2000 with the new Reuter Treasury News service, also launched today, and with commentary contributed by organizations such as MMS International and I.D.E.A. and price data from Government Securities Pricing System, Inc. (GOVPX).
Treasury 2000 features price data on several thousand exchange- traded bonds from all major exchanges. The format enables users to download data into spreadsheet, charting and other applications.
Comparative displays and pages and individually-coded financial instruments make information easy to find, to interpret and to manipulate.
Treasury 2000 complements Decision 2000, the analytics product for the global fixed-income market launched by Reuters in November 1991. Decision 2000 provides the means to analyze data, while Treasury 2000 is an information product.
Treasury 2000 is delivered by the high-speed Reuter Integrated Data Network and is available on the Reuter Terminal (RT) or via a datafeed. The RT is an 80386 microprocessor-based intelligent PC which is the standard keystation for accessing Reuter information services.
Reuters is launching Treasury 2000 initially in the Americas and Continental Europe and progressively around the world.
Reuters Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: RTRSY) supplies the global business community and news media with a wide range of products including real- time financial data, transaction systems, access to numerical and textual historical databases, news and news pictures. Reuters has a controlling interest in Visnews, the international television news agency, and Reuter Group companies design and install trading room systems. Information is obtained from around 180 exchanges and over- the-counter markets, from some 3,860 subscribers who contribute data directly to Reuters, and from a network of about 1,300 journalists, photographers and cameramen. Reuters distributes information through approximately 202,000 video terminals. This includes clients' own terminals that receive Reuter data.
