REUTERS AND MAI LAUNCH MONEYROUTE ARBITRAGE TOOL

LONDON, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Reuters and MAI today launched MoneyRoute, a real-time arbitrage tool for the foreign exchange and money markets.
Developed by MAI subsidiary Harlow Butler Information (HBI) Limited in collaboration with Reuters, Reuter MoneyRoute provides comprehensive, real-time information on foreign exchange and money rates.
Reuters is also introducing a new feed of real-time foreign exchange, money and over-the-counter derivative data free of charge on Reuters Money and Treasury 2000 subscribers. This data will be sourced from Harlow Butler Ueda, a subsidiary of the MAI Group and one of the world's leading money brokers.
Reuters is launching both products in the U.K. and Continental Europe immediately and plans to make them available throughout its global network. Reuter customers in the Americas have immediate access to the datafeed. MoneyRoute will be available there in the second half of the year.
Reuter MoneyRoute is a flexible Windows application. It adheres to accepted market conventions and helps participants in the foreign exchange, deposit and forward rate agreement markets to make decisions focusing on the pricing of synthetic instruments (instruments constructed by using a combination of other instruments and priced accordingly).
Users see both actual and synthetic rates in real-time and can "look behind" the synthetic rates to view the source data. A "what if" module permits users to enter their own choice of rates for comparison with current market rates. The MoneyRoute product and HBI data will be available on Reuters standard workstation, the Reuter Terminal (RT).
The introduction of the high-speed digital datafeed, which covers all instruments brokered by Harlow Butler, enhances Reuters coverage of FX over-the-counter options, forward rate agreements and interest rate swaps and options.
Reuters Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: RTRSY) provides news, prices and transaction services to more than 207,000 computer screens used by traders in 141 countries.
