 RETIRED CHRYSLER MOTORS CHAIRMAN JOINS AS NEW DIRECTOR
 CLEVELAND, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonald & Company Investments,


Inc. ("the Company"), today announced that Bennett E. Bidwell, retired chairman of the Chrysler Motors Subsidiary of Chrysler Corporation, has joined the company's board of directors. The company now has nine board members, four of whom are also officers of the company's principal operating subsidiary, McDonald & Company Securities, Inc. (NYSE: MDD)
 Bidwell was appointed chairman of Chrysler Motors in 1988. In that position, he was responsible for automotive sales, service and parts operations, product and marketing services and the operations of Chrysler Canada, Ltd., Thrifty Rent-A-Car Systems, Inc., and Snappy Car Rental, Inc. He retired in 1991.
 Bidwell, who is 64 years old, joined Chrysler in 1983 as executive vice president with responsibility for sales and marketing and public affairs. Earlier in his career, he was president of The Hertz Corporation and vice president, Car and Truck Group, Ford North American Automotive Operations.
 In addition to McDonald & Company Investments, Inc., Bidwell currently serves on the board of the Kerr-McGee Corporation and the Kelly Management Group, is chairman and board member of Pentastar, the Chrysler Corporation's parent for Snappy, Thrifty and Dollar rental cars, and is a management advisor of IMG (International Management Group).
 McDonald & Company Investments, Inc., through its principal subsidiary, McDonald & Company Securities, Inc., operates a regional investment banking and brokerage business with 28 offices in seven states including a total of 24 offices in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana and a total of four offices in Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Texas.
