RESULT!: Vera's final bow will be Terry good show; IN ASSOCIATION WITH

A NEW scientific study this week claimed that watching soaps is good for relationships, but why should we believe it?

Scientists are largely unwashed mouse-torturers - what do they know about relationships? Or soap? One undeniable fact about relationships is that the wife will watch Coronation Street and the husband will be forced to watch something else. In the case of Coronation Street, something else is always the more attractive option.

Vera Duckworth has finally decided to leave the show and when people leave TV shows they are generally killed off to boost TV ratings. Whatever you say about Vera, you can't call her a bad mum, yet Paddy Power make Vera's son Terry the 5-4 favourite to bump her off while her grandson Paul is second favourite at 7-4.

Fans of the show have been voting for the scariest moment in Corrie's history.

My vote goes to the sight of Ken Barlow appearing at a Conservative Party Conference during the last election campaign.

How will Vera Duckworth die: Evens terminal illness, 3-1 murdered, 10-3 heart attack, 6-1 car accident, 10-1 carbon monoxide poisoning, 14-1 electrocuted, 16-1 fall down stairs, 50-1 bar.
