RESTAURANT INDUSTRY LEADERS GATHER AT ANNUAL MEETING
Want to know what's cooking? Come to the Michigan Restaurant

Association's annual meeting and dinner Monday, Jan. 20, and interview the "who's who" of the restaurant industry.
The chefs attending won't prepare dinner -- too many cooks in the kitchen. But chefs as well as owners of the state's top independent and franchise restaurants will be available to discuss current trends in food preparation and dining. Detroit Edison will be host for the gathering, to begin with a reception at 6 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn.
Following the dinner, the association will present scholarships to students attending major culinary schools in the area.
The association consists of about 2,000 independently owned restaurants in southeastern Michigan. It provides promotional, advertising and other services.
CONTACT: Vanessa Waters, 313-237-7255, or Lorie N. Kessler, 313-237-8807, both of Detroit Edison.
