RENO AIR ANNOUNCES SEPTEMBER, THIRD QUARTER TRAFFIC

 RENO, Nev., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Nevada-based Reno Air Inc. (NASDAQ: RENO; PSE: RNO) flew 97.7 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in September, with a capacity of 174.9 million available seat miles (ASMs). Reno Air carried 194,932 passengers last month, producing a load factor for the third quarter of 62.4 percent, and a 55.9 percent load factor in September.
 Last September, the airline had just four McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series jets in operation. Today, the carrier leases 15 MD-80 aircraft.
 "We've allowed market demand to determine our growth in the past 15 months," said Jeff Erickson, president and chief executive officer of Reno Air. "And on Oct. 15, we'll begin non-stop service between San Francisco and Burbank, Calif., which we believe will further increase and strengthen our position in the California corridor."
 Reno Air currently serves Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego and Ontario, Calif., as well as its hometown of Reno/Tahoe.
