RENO AIR ANNOUNCES AUGUST TRAFFIC

REN0, Nev., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Nevada-based Reno Air Inc. (NASDAQ: RENO (common stock), RENOW (warrants), PSE: RNO (common stock), RNOWS (warrants)) today reported the highest monthly passenger total in its 14-month history, with 239,209 passengers carried during the month of August. The carrier, which flew 121.4 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) last month, had a 67.3 percent load factor, based upon 180.2 million available seat miles (ASMs).
"We've had a very good response to the recent opening of our hub in San Jose," said Reno Air President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Erickson. "Last month we added two daily non-stop flights between Ontario, Calif., and San Jose, and that segment has also experienced high market demand."
Reno Air recently announced it is scheduled to begin non-stop service between Burbank and San Francisco on Oct. 15. The new service coincides with the scheduled delivery of two more McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series jets, which will bring the company's total to 15 aircraft. The carrier is also scheduled to take delivery of two more aircraft this fall. Reno Air currently serves Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, and Ontario, as well as its home town of Reno/Tahoe.
