 REN DAHAN ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT OF EXXON CORPORATION,
 TO HEAD INTERNATIONAL DIVISION
 IRVING, Texas, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of Exxon Corporation (NYSE: XON) has elected Ren Dahan a vice president of the corporation and president of Exxon Company, International effective Sept. 1, 1992. Dahan is currently executive vice president of Exxon Company, International, a division of Exxon Corporation with responsibility for oil and gas operations, other than exploration, outside of North America.
 Dahan was born in Morocco in 1941. He was educated at the cole Nationale d'officiers de Marine in Casablanca and the cole d'hydrographie in Bordeaux, France, receiving a degree in nautical science. After a brief period as a Merchant Marine officer he joined the Exxon organization in 1963 at its refinery in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
 After holding increasingly responsible technical and engineering positions at the refinery, Dahan became manager of the Supply and Planning Department followed by his appointment as manager of the Refining Department in the Netherlands.
 Dahan transferred in 1977 to Esso Europe, which at the time was responsible for Exxon's oil and gas operations in Europe and Africa. He successively served in executive positions in the Corporate Planning and Natural Gas Departments rising to manager of the latter.
 In 1981 he transferred to Exxon Corporation headquarters in the United States as deputy manager of the petroleum products department, a unit responsible for coordinating Exxon's worldwide downstream operations and investments.
 In 1983, Dahan returned to Europe to become executive vice president of Esso B.V., Exxon's affiliate responsible for oil and gas operations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. In 1985 he became president and chief executive officer of Esso B.V.
 In March of 1991, Dahan was appointed to his present position as executive vice president of Exxon Company, International.
