REMINDER/Disco is Back With a Cause -- Disco Saturday Night, May 20 at the Discovery Science Center.
REMINDER...for Saturday (May 20)
WHO: Since 1987, Casita de San Jose has been providing intensive care and warm, loving homes to some of Orange County's most severe cases of neglected and abused children. Janet Reynolds, director of Casita's community relations pointed out: "Their job is to be kids ... our job is to give them the chance. Casita group homes offer these children the opportunity that every child has a right to expect: A chance to grow up little steps at a time ... always with a hand to hold along the way. The children at Casita de San Jose are worth every minute of time we spend and every dollar it takes to ensure their healing." WHAT: You may think disco is a thing of the past, but on May 20 it's helping change the future of some very special young people. Casita de San Jose Homes for Abused Children is preparing to don bell-bottoms, butterfly collars and platform shoes for its first annual Disco Ball, in order to raise money for the children it helps. WHERE: This year, the Casita Disco Ball is taking place in Santa Ana's premier educational facility, the Discovery Science Center across from the Main Place Mall. It's guaranteed to not only be a fun evening, but also a chance for people to contribute to an organization that actually makes a difference in young people's lives. WHEN: The event kicks off Saturday, May 20 at 6:30 starting with a VIP reception, silent auction, great raffle prizes and lots of dancing. For more information and tickets to Casita's Disco Ball, call 714/283-8757, ext. 104. All major credit cards accepted.
