RELA honors William C. McCahill and Murray F. Mascis.
RELA President George Gnad, in the role of Master of Ceremonies, introduced Matt Landau, a charter member of RELA, Past President, and current Chair of the Board of Directors, who delivered a humorous Keynote Address to a receptive audience of colleagues and family members of the honorees.
Robert J. Persico of PB Capital presented the award to Mr. McCahill, and Michael D. Lappin of The Community Preservation Corporation did the honors for Mr. Mascis. While the introductory and acceptance speeches were heartwarming, humorous, and personal, they provided a history lesson from the viewpoint of those whose leadership shaped the real estate finance industry over the last several decades.
The Real Estate Lenders Association was incorporated in 1991 to provide a forum for real estate lenders to advance their knowledge and expertise in their industry. Membership is open to real estate lenders and equity providers. Visit RELA at www.rela.org for information and upcoming events, or call 212-692-9379.
