REGIS SALONS 'CLIP FOR THE CURE' PROCEEDS FUND BREAST CANCER RESEARCH
 Regis Corporation, a leader in hairstyling worldwide, will once again offer haircuts for $10 at malls throughout North America during the second annual "Clip for the Cure" cut-a-thon on Saturday, Oct. 10. All proceeds from haircuts, as well as a portion of Regis professional hair care product sales, will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for cancer research. Over 10,000 Regis stylists at 1,000 mall locations are expected to participate in this day-long event. To locate the nearest Regis salon, call 800-777-4444. Interested supporters should call the salon to verify cut-a-thon times and locations.
 "The statistics on breast cancer are staggering. Since 80 percent of our employees and customers are women, we are greatly affected by this devastating disease. We cannot sit back and passively watch the odds increase," stated Paul Finkelstein, president of Regis Corporation. "The primary reasons for our involvement in the cut-a-thon are to raise money for breast cancer research and at the same time heighten awareness. Last year's 'Clip for the Cure' was a tremendous success, as stylists used their creative talents to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for breast cancer research."
