REGENCY PALACE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING WITH GALA TO BENEFIT DEBORAH HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

MT. LAUREL, N.J., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- It is already setting a new standard for excellence in the hospitality industry.
From small, private executive meetings to large conferences, from elegant cocktail events to lavish bar mitzvahs and weddings, the brand- new Regency Palace is open for business and drawing upscale clients for social and corporate events from across the Delaware Valley.
On Thursday, June 10, the Regency Palace will officially open its doors when hundreds of area residents join civic and community leaders at a gala reception to honor southern New Jersey's newest landmark. The cocktail reception is slated for 5:30 p.m., followed by a gala dinner featuring the Eddie Bruce Orchestra and the comedy of Corbett Monica. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Deborah Hospital Foundation.
Developed by Howard J. Wurzak, owner of Philadelphia's Twelve Caesars and one of the area's most active industry entrepreneurs, the Regency Palace is the jewel of this multimillion-dollar Hospitality Enterprise, which also includes a five-story, full-service hotel and restaurant. "We are proud and excited to be providing South Jersey with a sophisticated setting to host social and corporate events," said Wurzak. "Our company brings to the area a successful track record in upscale catering, as well as a reputation for personalized and professional service."
Said Julius Katz, executive director of Deborah Hospital Foundation: "We are looking forward to participating in this most prestigious event. We thank Howard Wurzak for naming Deborah the Regency's charity of choice for its grand opening, and trust that it is the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration."
Conveniently located on Fellowship Road at Route 73 in Mt. Laurel, close to interchanges for both the New Jersey Turnpike and Interstate I-95, Regency Palace can easily serve area clients from Philadelphia, South Jersey and New York.
Comprising 30,000 square feet of banquet space, the Regency Palace is decorated with European flair, and includes a 100-room Ramada Hotel and Jake's, a New York-style deli restaurant.
The totally reconstructed complex, which has created approximately 200 new jobs, is giving new life to the area. According to Wurzak, architects, designers, contractors and tradespeople labored for more than a year to reclaim and expand the site of a former hotel.
The focal point of the exterior renovations is the addition of a multistory atrium, with its spectacular crystal chandelier, floor-to- ceiling solar glass panels and sculpted marble floors. Formal gardens have been added to the property with a graceful fountain reclaimed as its centerpiece. Inside a series of elegantly appointed ballrooms are designed to accommodate up to 1,200 people for events.
Regency Palace represents a major expansion of Wurzak's business activities in the Delaware Valley's hospitality industry. The Twelve Caesars banquet and conference center on City Avenue, which accommodates 2,000 people, has been serving area residents for more than 10 years.
The beneficiary of the Grand Opening Gala, the Deborah Hospital Foundation, raises funds and awareness in support of Deborah Heart and Lung Center, a world-renowned, state-of-the-art center for cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine. The hospital is dedicated to its founders' vow -- that no patient will ever receive a bill for care -- a policy that has continued through Deborah's 70 years of service to the community.
