REEDSPORT HIGH SCHOOL.

Byline: The Register-Guard

Reedsport High School graduation will be June 12. The commencement speaker will be Karen Tibbles.

Valedictorian is Andrew Merschel, the son of Dan and Katherine Vasquez of Reedsport. He has been involved in cross country, basketball, track and golf. He served as vice president of Future Business Leaders of America, president of the National Honor Society and was involved in School to Work and Knowledge Bowl.

He plans to attend Oregon State University and major in engineering.

Salutatorian Tyler Hague is the son of Kevin and Gale Hague of Reedsport. He was involved in cross country, basketball and golf. His clubs include Future Business Leaders of America and Knowledge Bowl, where he was named two-time tourney most valuable player.

He plans to attend Linfield College to major in political science, following with law school to become a criminal defense attorney.
