 REEBOK INCREASES FOCUS ON PERFORMANCE SPORTS
 STOUGHTON, Mass., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Reebok (NYSE: RBK) has


announced it has established a new worldwide sports marketing unit.
 Roberto Muller has been appointed president, Reebok Sport, reporting to John Duerden, president and chief executive officer of the Reebok Division Worldwide.
 Muller, formerly president and chief executive officer of Phoenix Integrated, Inc., assumes responsibility for the worldwide marketing, product development, merchandising and business management of cleated, soccer, tennis, running, track & field, basketball and indoor court categories.
 "1991 was a record year for Reebok sales. The establishment of this new unit reinforces our commitment to performance athletics -- an area of significant growth potential for the brand. We have formed a dedicated team to deliver the best products and programs for consumers and retailers worldwide," said Duerden.
 Muller comes to Reebok with extensive experience and proven success in the team sports business. In 1975 Muller founded Pony Sports and Leisure, and managed it from its inception to a $250 million business with distribution in 37 countries by 1986. He then sold his investment in Pony to the Adidas Group. in 1987 Muller founded Phoenix Integrated, Inc., and in less than four years, built the company into a $72 million international corporation. Phoenix Integrated, Inc. is the parent company of Champion footwear, Ewing basketball shoes and Sears/Winner, a Sears exclusive footwear brand.
 The sports marketing unit will work in conjunction with Reebok's fitness and casual units.
 Bob Meers remains president of U.S. Operations, and in addition, he is now responsible for Reebok Fitness and the worldwide marketing and business management of the aerobics, cross training, walking, Step Reebok(SM), outdoor, classics and children's categories.
 Steve Fireman, who is appointed to president of Reebok Casual, continues to be responsible for the worldwide development and marketing of all products within BOKS -- the fashion casual arm of Reebok brands.
 Peter McGuigan continues as president of Reebok International, responsible for all sales, service and distribution operations outside of the United States. Reebok markets in more than 120 countries worldwide.

 Reebok International Ltd., headquartered in Stoughton, is a leading designer and marketer of active lifestyle and performance products, including footwear and apparel. The company's operating units include AVIA, Boston Whaler, Reebok, Rockport and the Apparel Products Group (including the Ellesse and Weebok brands). Sales for 1991 totalled approximately $2.73 billion.
