RECORD money: Seasonal Affective Disorder.

A STUDY has found that houses can be just as badly affected by winter depression as people. A report by insurance firm Direct Line suggests that buildings can suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) - with problems such as broken heating systems and electrical faults increasing. Andrew Lowe, head of home insurance at Direct Line, said: "As well as doing little things to make them feel brighter we would recommend that people carry out an MOT on their house before the cold weather really takes hold."
