RECOGNITION INTRODUCES INDUSTRY'S FASTEST CHECK ENCODING TRANSPORT

DALLAS, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognition International Inc.'s Systems Division has announced a major enhancement to its Lundy(R) MRS/PET(TM) system which makes it the fastest check encoding transport available in the world today. The enhanced MRS/PET system provides all the functionality available from the original 600 document per minute system, with maximized processing speed increased up to 1000 documents per minute (dpm).
In addition, system's encoding capacity has also been increased from 450 dpm to 600 dpm.
"The new MRS/PET system brings significant operational improvement to the high-speed document processing marketplace," said Fred Zucker, president of the Recognition's System Division. "The superior performance of the MRS/PET encoding system means our customers will have fewer rejects compared to other systems, while the exceptional speed means fewer machines, fewer operators and reduced overall cost of ownership."
The enhanced system retains all of the original system's quality control features, including dust-inhibiting vacuum transport, check thickness measurement, folded corner detection, simultaneous encoding of all characters without stopping paper, and re-read of MICR after encoding to virtually eliminate bank rejects.
The new MRS/PET system is currently available to high-volume remittance users for matched pay power encoding applications and to encode checks in image processing environments.
Recognition International Inc., headquartered in Dallas, is a leading international open systems supplier of high-performance document recognition systems, image and workflow software, and related customer services.
