RECOGNITION ANNOUNCES COURTESY AMOUNT READ FEATURE FOR IMAGE REMITTANCE PROCESSING

DALLAS, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognition International Inc.'s Systems Division today introduced a Courtesy Amount Read (CAR) feature as an optional component of its Image Remittance Processing System, System 4500. CAR automatically reads the handwritten courtesy amounts from checks, significantly reducing key entry labor requirements in image-based remittance processing applications.
"The superior image quality of the System 4500 has allowed CAR to achieve higher accuracy rates," said Fred Zucker, president of Recognition's System Division. "We are very pleased to be able to offer this important enhancement to our Remittance Image System."
The System 4500 utilizing Recognition's Lundy(R) brand MRS/PET(TM) image transport for both capture and encoding, is recognized for its use of high-quality grey scale images.
Installation of CAR requires no change in operational workflow, and means users will need fewer data entry operators. In addition, CAR's security-protected user interface allows authorized customer site personnel to fine-tune CAR to maximize performance for the customer's unique payment mix. The user interface allows for "what if" scenarios so that CAR can be fine-tuned without committing the results to live data. This ensures that performance can be maximized without the risk of erroneous data. CAR also offers performance analysis reports which clearly define the role CAR plays in reducing labor requirements.
The CAR feature is sold in "seats." One "seat" provides the effective processing equivalent of one human operator, working at peak speed levels from system startup to shutdown.
Recognition's CAR product can be purchased with an initial system installation or added as an upgrade.
