REBNY to Announce '99 Deal of the Year Winners.

The Real Estate Board of New York's Sales Brokers Committee has been recognizing achievement in the commercial brokerage with prizes for 56 years. Thirteen entries had been submitted for consideration reflecting a very healthy economy, consumer confidence and a tremendous desire to do business in New York City. Four of the entries involved sales, two financing and seven lease transactions.

The Henry Hart Rice Achievement Award for the Most Ingenious Deal of the Year and the Robert T. Lawrence Memorial Award will be presented at the annual REBNY Sales Brokers Cocktail Party held at the Yale Club on April 12th at 5:30 p.m.

The submissions are:

The financing of the Henry Hudson Hotel at 353 West 57th Street -- Brokers: Lawrence D. Ackman and Simon Ziff of The Ackman Ziff Real Estate Group LLC.

The sublease of 502 Park Avenue to Asia Society at Christie's -- Brokers: John K. Lord of ATCO Properties & Management, Inc. and Susan Kahaner, Lewis Miller, Robert Stillman and Mary Ann Tighe of Insignia/ESG, Inc.

The financing of 200 Water Street and subsequent lease to NYU -- Brokers: Andrew J. Singer and Kathleen McSharry of The Singer & Bassuk Organization.

The sale of Judson House in Washington Square -- Brokers: Peter E. Pattison and Jill Ward of Commonwealth Advisors, LLC and Leslie J. Garfield of Leslie J. Garfield & Co., Inc.

The sale of 231-235 East 55th Street to Marymount Manhattan College -- Brokers: Joseph A. Grotto & Associates, Inc. and Robert I.
