RCM TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE
OWNERSHIP INTEREST IN BIOLOGICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT
PENNSAUKEN, N.J., Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- RCM Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: RCMT) to acquire an ownership interest in Biological Waste Management, Inc. (BWM), a Pennsylvania corporation, has been terminated by mutual consent. RCM had announced on April 15, 1992 that it would acquire 70 percent of BWM from the current owners, Bio-Proteus Corporation and W.B. Moore Inc. BWM has an exclusive license to use a proprietary technology for treatment and bioconversion recycling of agricultural and food-processing wastes.
Leon Kopyt, president of RCM Technologies, stated that "We regret that we were unable to resolve all of the issues that arose over the last few months during the due diligence investigation. RCM will continue to seek opportunities to participate in the development of commercial technologies for solving environmental problems."
Kopyt also commented that, "We will continue to focus on improving and expanding our temporary personnel and professional engineering and technical services placement businesses. I am pleased to report that the efforts of the three individuals we recently hired for the IDI Personnel Services division in California have improved that division's performance. We expect that the increased revenues for that division since their arrival will continue."
RCM Technologies, Inc. through its Intertec Design and IDI Personnel Services divisions, is primarily involved in providing professional engineering and technical services and temporary clerical and light industrial personnel through 12 offices nationwide, to major corporations in aerospace, chemical and industrial manufacturing.
