RCCI wants expo centre in Rawalpindi.

RAWALPINDI -- President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Javed Akhtar Bhatti, has demanded of the government to establish an expo centre in Rawalpindi region to enhance the business activities in the region.

He stated this while chairing a meeting in the Chamber, which was attended by Group Leader Najamul Haq Malik, Senior Vice President Raja Amer Iqbal, former Presidents and members of the executive committee.

He said RCCI is committed to promote the local industry and no stone would be left unturned in this regard. He said Rawalpindi region was becoming the hub of business activities and the absence of Expo Centre could damage the interest of the business community.

He demanded of the government to establish an Expo Centre at earliest in the region to facilitate the business community.

Jawed Bhatti said RCCI planned to organize 10 single country Expos in the Saarc countries to endorse the local products, adding that chamber has the vision to organize an international industrial expo in the city, but there is no place for such purpose.
