RCBS trim-pro 3-way cutter.

When my long workday has come to an end, and all my "honey do's" have been taken care of, its long been a favorite practice of mine to sit down at my loading bench, relax, and crank out a box or two of carefully handloaded cartridges. I've been doing this for more years than I care to admit, but according to skyrocketing component sales generated by reloaders. I'm not the only shooter who relieves stress in this manner.

As much as I enjoy "bench time," there is one step of the reloading process I utterly despise and is guaranteed to induce a bout of chest tightening anxiety--trimming, chamfering, and deburring cartridge cases. I hate it with a passion. I was thumbing through the current RCBS catalog the other day and discovered a product that could only have been conceived by someone who detests case prepping worse than me.

RCBS refers to this gift to reloaders as their Trim Pro 3-Way Cutter. For years I, along with thousands of others, have used the RCBS Trim-Pro case trimmer with excellent results. Like everything else RCBS crafts, the Trim-Pro is manufactured to last a lifetime, which in turn means I have what's left of my lifetime to endure prepping cases one tedious step at a time. Pretty sad, huh? That's what I thought until the 3-Way Cutter sliced itself into my life.

If you own an RCBS Trim Pro, simply remove the standard cutter and replace it with the Trim Pro 3-Way Cutter, making sure you install the correct cutter for the caliber you are working with. Adjust the trimmer to your cartridge's proper trim length. Once this has been completed all that is left is to make the necessary adjustments for inside chamfering and deburring. This procedure actually takes longer to describe than to perform. When properly set up, the Trim Pro 3-Way Cutter will trim your cases to the correct length, chamfer the inside of the case, and deburr the outside, all in one step. It's guaranteed to make case prepping much faster and stress free.
