RAYTHEON WINS CONTRACT FOR COGENERATION PLANT IN ARIZONA

 LEXINGTON, Mass., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Engineers & Constructors said today that it is working on a lump-sum turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction services contract for Yuma Cogeneration Associates, a partnership owned by subsidiaries of California Energy Company, Inc., for a new 53-megawatt natural-gas fueled, gas-turbine combined-cycle cogeneration plant to be located in Yuma, Ariz. The total installed cost of the project is fixed at $43.31 million.
 Raytheon units will design, engineer, provide procurement services, and construct this facility, which will provide steam to America-West Industries, Inc., a carpet factory, for process use and plant cooling. Electric power from the plant will be sold to San Diego Gas & Electric Company.
