RAYTHEON UNIT WINS CONTRACT FOR MEXICAN OIL FACILITY

 LEXINGTON, Mass., Nov. 30 ~PRNewswire~ -- The Badger Company, a unit of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), and DISA (Desarrolo de Ingenieria S.A.), a Mexican construction company, have been awarded a $40 million contract by Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) for a petroleum refining facility at PEMEX's La Cangrejera complex near Vera Cruz, Mexico.
 Badger, along with SPISA (Servicios de Procesos Industriales S.A.), will provide engineering, procurement, and start-up services.
 The new facility is expected to be completed in mid-1994. It will be used for isomerization, which improves the octane rating of gasoline. This unit is a critical component in Mexico's program to phase out leaded gasoline and improve air quality in Mexico's major cities.
 Raytheon, headquartered in Lexington, Mass., is a $9.3 billion diversified technology company with sales in four business segments: electronics, aircraft products, energy and environmental, and major appliances.
