RAYTHEON UNIT WINS $48 MILLION CONTRACT FOR COGENERATION PLANT PROJECT
 LEXINGTON, Mass., Nov. 10 /prnEWSWIRE/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) announced today that its United Engineers & Constructors (UE&C) subsidiary has received a $48 million contract to design and build a natural gas-fired cogeneration plant on a 27-acre site in North Las Vegas.
 The project owner, Las Vegas Cogeneration Limited Partnership, selected UE&C as the general contractor for the plant, which will furnish 46 megawatts of electricity to Nevada Power Company and hot water for year-round heating of an on-site 12-acre greenhouse producing tomatoes and other vegetable crops.
 The new cogeneration plant is scheduled to go into commercial service in June 1994.
 United Engineers & Constructors International provides engineering, construction, maintenance, and environmental services through its subsidiaries to a wide range of industries across the U.S. and abroad. UE&C is part of Raytheon's Energy and Environmental business segment.
