 RAYTHEON UNIT TO BUILD TWO NEW POWER
 PLANTS FOR WISCONSIN POWER COMPANY
 LEXINGTON, Mass., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Wisconsin Electric Power Company has awarded a unit of Raytheon Company a contract for construction services to build two new gas-fired power plants in Wisconsin.
 The two projects are estimated to cost over $200 million and will be built by United Engineers & Constructors (UE&C), headquartered in Philadelphia.
 Each of the four-unit plants will have a generating capacity of 300 megawatts.
 UE&C will be responsible for site preparation and foundations, for installation of combustion turbine generators, for procurement and installation of balance-of-plant equipment, and for erection of tanks and service buildings at each plant.
 Construction on the first power plant will begin in early spring. Commercial operation of the plants will begin in 1993 and 1995, respectively.
 Based in Lexington, Raytheon is a diversified, international, technology-based company with sales in four business segments: Electronics, Energy and Environmental, Aircraft Products, and Major Appliances.
