 RAYTHEON NAMES RUTSTEIN CFO
 LEXINGTON, Mass., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company


(NYSE: RTN) has named Sheldon Rutstein to the newly created position of chief financial officer.
 In his new position, Rutstein will be responsible for integrating and overseeing Raytheon's controller, treasurer and corporate financial relations functions.
 Rutstein, 57, is a Raytheon senior vice president. Most recently he was the company's controller, a position he held since 1981.
 "Consolidating these three financial functions will improve our external and internal financial relationships," said Dennis J. Picard, Raytheon chairman and chief executive officer.
 "Shelly Rutstein has a broad base of financial management experience, developed over the course of an outstanding career covering more than 30 years at Raytheon. We are fortunate to have a person of his capabilities for this high-level position," said Picard.
 Rutstein joined Raytheon in 1958. Among the earlier positions he held at the company were controller for Raytheon's Electromagnetic Systems Division, Goleta, Calif., and for the company's Equipment Division, Wayland, Mass.
 Rutstein is a graduate of the Financial Management Development Program and Raytheon's Advanced Management Program. He is also a member of the Financial Executives Institute.
 Rutstein and his wife, Susan, live in Sudbury, Mass.
