RAYTHEON COMPANY ANNOUNCES SELECTION OF GREY ADVERTISING
LEXINGTON, Mass., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) announced today that it has selected the Grey Advertising Agency to handle a large segment of the company's advertising for 1992. The selection of Grey Advertising completes a consolidation process which began in June of this year to select a single agency to handle Raytheon's Corporate and Government Group advertising as well as that of Raytheon's Energy and Environmental Group (Badger, United Engineers and Constructors, Raytheon Service Company, Cedarapids) Raytheon Marine, Raytheon Semiconductor Division, Switchcraft and D.C. Heath.
The total value of the award to Grey has not yet been determined, but Raytheon expects to spend approximately $10 million in 1991 in advertising for the business segments noted above.
In announcing the award, Robert A. Skelly, Raytheon vice president for Public and Financial Relations, said "There was strong competition for this award by a large number of the finest advertising agencies in the world. Grey's creative and strategic approach to addressing the needs of Raytheon's diverse business units and their clear focus on the company's strategic objectives for future growth was on the mark. We look forward to a successful working relationship with the Grey Agency."
Raytheon Company, headquartered in Lexington, Mass., is active in electronics, aviation, appliances, energy and environmental services and publishing. The company recorded sales of $9.3 billion in 1990.
