RAYTHEON BOARD AUTHORIZES STOCK REPURCHASE PLAN

 LEXINGTON, Mass. Nov. 23 ~PRNewswire~ -- Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) board of directors today authorized a stock repurchase plan designed to offset the increase in the number of shares outstanding caused by the exercise of employee stock options.
 The board approved the repurchase of up to two million shares per year over the next five years.
 As of the end of Raytheon's third quarter on September 27, the company had 134.8 million shares of common stock outstanding.
 Based in Lexington, Mass., Raytheon is a $9.3 billion diversified technology company with sales in four business segments: Electronics, Aircraft Products, Energy and Environmental, and Major Appliances.
