 RAYTHEON, DASA VENTURE PLANS NATO HAWK ENGINEERING EFFORT
 LEXINGTON, Mass., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The NATO Hawk Production


and Logistics Organization (NHPLO), based in Paris, has awarded a contract to a U.S.-German joint venture team to conduct engineering activities related to the NATO Hawk program.
 The contract was awarded to Gesellschaft Fuer Verteidigungs Systeme mbH (GVS) of Munich, a joint venture of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) and Deutsche Aerospace (DASA) gmbH.
 The work will be performed by a team from Raytheon's Missile Systems Division in Bedford, Mass., and Telefunken System Technik gmbH, Ulm, Germany. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
 The Raytheon-DASA contract addresses the objectives of a NATO cooperative development program that builds on existing assets to meet future medium range air defense requirements.
