    RAUCH INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER FINANCIAL RESULTS
    GASTONIA, N.C., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Rauch Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: RCHI), a NASDAQ traded company, today announced financial results for the third quarter of 1991, ended September 30, 1991.  Rauch is America's oldest and best-known manufacturer of Christmas tree ornaments and related products.
    Net sales were $19.7 million for the quarter, up 3 percent from $19.2 million for the year earlier quarter.  The Company's net income for the quarter was $2.0 million, or $1.23 per share, unchanged from the third quarter of 1990.
    Inventories, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and short-term debt at September 30, 1991 were all comparable to 1990 balances on that date.  Because of the seasonal nature of the Company's business, the majority of its shipments occur in the third and fourth quarters of the year.
    Marshall A. Rauch, chairman, president and chief executive officer of the Company, reported that total orders received through the end of September were approximately $37.0 million against $37.1 million at the comparable time last year.  As of this date, total orders received during the year have risen to $38.2 million, as compared to $37.5 million at the same time last year.
    Sales for the first nine months of 1991 were $22.2 million, up from $21.9 million for the comparable period in 1990, an increase of 2 percent.  Net income for the period was $1.4 million or $.82 per share compared to net income of $1.3 million or $.79 per share in the first nine months of 1990.
    Rauch earned $2.5 million or $1.53 per share in 1990 on net sales of $37.1 million.
