RATING NEWS: MOODY'S ASSIGNS Aa3 RATING TO PROVINCE OF ONTARIO'S SWFR 250 MILLION EURO BONDS.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 1996-- Effective today, Moody's Investors Service assigned a Aa3 rating to Ontario's SWFR 250 million Euro bonds. The offering has a coupon of 4.0% and was priced at 103.2.

The bonds mature on June 29, 2001. This is the first Swiss franc denominated offering since December 1992. The province has completed all of its borrowing needs for the current fiscal year, and proceeds from the current issue will prefund borrowing requirements for the 1996-97 fiscal year.
