RAND CAM/DIRECT CHARGE ENGINE SUCCESSFULLY FIRES UP

MORGANTOWN, W.Va., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Reg Technologies Inc. (Vancouver: RRE; OTC Bulletin Board: REGRF) is pleased to announce that the Rand Cam/Direct Charge engine successfully fired and sustained combustion during several two- to three-minute test runs conducted at the Center for Industrial Research Applications (CIRA) at West Virginia University.
According to CIRA's engineering team, the combustion appeared smooth and responded to throttle and fuel changes. The tests were followed by an immediate disassembly of the engine for inspection.
No abnormal wear or component failure was observed.
The future plan of CIRA is to continue on a series of planned experiments to verify the vane and rotor design, a series of seal designs and the basic performance characteristics of the engine. Additional tests will be carried out over the next few weeks and news will be released as it is received by the company.
The Rand Cam/Direct Charge engine is a unique rotary engine with a power-to-weight ratio of one horsepower for every three-quarters of a pound of engine weight. The engine will deliver high horsepower at low rpm's (1,500) with a smooth, even and vibration-free performance. The only moving parts of this engine are six vanes and a rotor.
The company feels that this is a major milestone in the development of the Rand Cam/Direct Charge engine and should attract major financings and interested customers.
