RAMTEK ACQUIRES MEGATAPE CORPORATION SAN JOSE, Calif., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramtek Corp.
(NASDAQ: RMTK), a manufacturer of high-performance graphics and image processing systems, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, MTP Corp., has acquired substantially all of the assets of MegaTape Corp.
Incorporated in the State of California in 1980, MegaTape has been a systems integrator of packaged tape backup subsystems since 1988. MegaTape's Proprietary software and interfacing electronics integrate with a wide range of third party storage peripherals. "Today's acquisition will enable Ramtek to diversify into other technologies and markets," said Ramtek's President Bill Finley.
